Student athletes have a lot to focus on and a lot of decisions to make. Every path is different and each individual needs to make choices that will help them improve their skills, support their development, and reach their goals.
It can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, it doesn’t need to. LSE’s family sports advisors can help you make sense of the paths ahead of you and give you the guidance you need to achieve success on your terms.
Athletes and their families need support. We know how hard it is to navigate the sports world on your own. Listening to generic advice or only following what’s worked for others, likely won’t be the right choice for you. Your skills, your dreams, and your development is personal – and so is the path you’ll take.
At LSE, we give players and their families comprehensive support and advice specifically geared to their needs and their situation. Our tailored approach helps you fully understand the resources and developmental opportunities available to you as you grow as a player.
We’ll work with you to create a personalized career path that is in line with your goals, values, and dreams.
When it comes to on-ice development, off-ice training, and professional conduct, we can give you all the guidance you need to help you achieve your goals.
Working with LSE, you’ll have access to:
Your development is unique to you, and your path doesn’t need to be the same one everyone else takes. We’ll help you access the tools you need to develop a stronger game and a more successful career.
Student athletes and their families have a lot of questions, and with good reason. Amateur hockey can be confusing and competition levels and eligibility criteria aren’t always easy to understand.
LSE offers guidance and advice that helps student hockey players and their families navigate these situations, understand the choices facing them, develop their skills, and put themselves in the right position to find the greatest possible career success.
We can also advise you on potential scholarship options and financial aid opportunities, making your path not just easier but more financially feasible.
All our advisors place a strong importance on balancing hockey commitments with academics. Not only is this crucial for maintaining amateur eligibility, but it also gives you the most options in your playing career and beyond.
No one gets there alone. We provide mentorship to amateur hockey players, helping them understand the various aspects of the game that they may have never faced before. We’ll help guide you as you develop your on- and off-ice talents, leadership skills, sportsmanship abilities, and processional conduct.
LSE can help you take advantage of the situations you’re placed in, recognize new opportunities as they arise, and connect you with other professionals who can help improve your game and build your career.
At all times, complying with NCAA and all related rules and regulations is our priority. We make sure the athletes we advise comply with all required guidelines and rules, offer clarification when needed, and help you navigate the worlds of junior hockey and college hockey.
While the NCAA does not allow student athletes to have agents, they are able to have family advisors, even the advisor is also an agent. Many advisors are registered NHLPA agents.
There are so many decisions and so many rules and regulations to follow when you’re a student athlete. It’s easy to get lost or overwhelmed. That’s where LSE family sports advisors come in. We work to build true relationships, and to fully understand your goals, experiences, values, and expectations. We then use our experience and knowledge to help you make sense of the opportunities in front of you and navigate the choices you’re faced with.
The goal is to guide you as you build your career as you want it to be.
We always follow all NCAA and college hockey rules, which allow for families and parents to work with advisors (even if those advisors are also registered agents) as long as regulations are strictly followed.
You shouldn’t have to use guesswork and hunches when developing as a hockey player. You deserve to have a trusted advisor on your side.
We don’t just offer support for on-ice skill and career decisions, we also help you balance academics and sports commitments as you go. Whether you’re an amateur athlete, a junior hockey player, or a college player, we’re here for you.
Our unique experience and skills make us an excellent choice to advise student hockey players and their families.
